About

Paul Bock

Paul Bock is a professional engineer with expertise in high-pressure steam boiler and ethylene cracking furnace technology. He holds two U.S. patents in the field of thermal energy and high-efficiency furnace technology and currently serves as a technical expert for the California Board for Professional Engineers, specializing in forensic engineering and engineering ethics. Paul’s engineering projects have been constructed in twelve countries.

Beyond his engineering career, Paul is a prolific author of books on investing, success, uncertainty, and entrepreneurship, all available on Amazon.com. He published six historical/biographical monographs; his research on the history and philosophy of science and technology has been presented at several symposiums and conferences of the Romanian Academy.

As an award-winning fine art photographer, Paul has won numerous awards and exhibited his work internationally in China, Hungary, Moldova, Romania, Serbia, Switzerland, Ukraine, and the USA. He is the vice-president of the USA branch of the Euro Photo Art Association and an international juror for the European Photographers Association (EFA).

As an engineer, Paul spent his career immersed in the exacting world of logic and analysis. This foundation in technical discipline, however, has become the bedrock of his writing and  artistic pursuit in photography, leading to a special bridge between the right and left sides of his brain.

His essays are about his favorite subjects, such as the mysteries of life, the secrets of faith and religion, history and politics, literature and poetry, engineering and technology, and investing.
